A letter from Teacher Lina
Your well-being is our top priority.
As much as it pains us to halt regular operations at our physical studio, we are still committed to delivering the best dance education we can, which is why we've made classes available online.
We'd like to note that classes are not required at the moment. Sessions can be consumed when we come back, and what matters now is that we cope with what's happening. If you find that you need time away to rest, recover, or to do other activities, please know that we understand.
If you want to keep on dancing though, we're still here. We believe in the power of dance to uplift. Dance brings joy. Dance makes us strong -- both physically and mentally -- and it can help us now when we need to be stronger than ever.
On online classes
We now offer a limited selection of classes, which we have modified to be appropriate to current circumstances (i.e. small spaces, limited visibility, newcomers, and the like). You may view our schedule to see our full list of class offerings.
One of our new classes includes beginner adult ballet. This class will be hosted on Zoom every Saturday, from 1-2 PM, GMT+8. The class was free for the entire month of May and does not require any ballet experience. The class was made in response to live intermediate-advanced classes being released online, so prospecting students may acclimate to proper ballet technique under a teacher's guidance beforehand. You may now enroll for online classes here.
For other classes, free trials are available for all levels. You may send us a message to book your first class. Newcomers or students not previously enrolled with the school may also enroll.
We still believe that online classes will never replace the dynamism and quality that physical classes possess, and so highly encourage you to enroll with our physical studio as soon as we can return. We will continue to make necessary adjustments to bring you quality online dance education and to improve at-home conditions.
On dance flooring
Due to current circumstances, we are continuously making adjustments to serve you better during this time. We request for your patience as we continue to navigate these unknown waters and thank you for your constant support.
As of writing, we have sold all of our remaining pieces of Marley flooring and have given all 75 rolls of linoleum as a Marley alternative. The special flooring is the same type that is used in most professional studios and will enable dancers to continue their proper training at home. For those requesting for more flooring, we will do our best to order more stocks once circumstances have improved.
To all
These times are difficult, but they too shall pass. Our situation may be intimidating, but we must remain hopeful — for it is this hope that will guide us through. Stay vigilant, stay safe, and stay healthy.
The stage is wherever we are standing, and for now, let us make the most of our home stages. Keep washing your hands, and we will dance in a theatrical stage soon.
Much love,
Teacher Lina
